In 2001 W. Goebel Porzellanfabrik, one of the most respected
and well-established companies in the giftware trade, was
appointed European distributor of the Charlotte di Vita Collections.
After a very successful initial year, Goebel agreed a new
worldwide licensing contract that guarantees Charlotte di
Vita MBE a minimum annual licensing fee of $325,000.
"Goebel has been very committed and their continued support
means that I can continue to invest in the development of
new design and manufacturing facilities as well as make donations
to Trade plus AidŽ for the design and implementation of sustainable
development projects in Asia and Africa."
Since 1992, Charlotte has raised US$369,500 to fund development
projects in Africa, Asia and South America.
Claus-Peter Wahner, Managing Director of W. Goebel Porzellanfabrik
said, "Goebel welcomes the opportunity to work with Charlotte
di Vita not only because we want to support her charitable
aims but also because of the outstanding quality of the product
itself. Goebel is famous for the range and variety of its
collectibles and these miniature enamel teapots are a collectable
rarity, made by craftsmen in a quite extravagant way. The
Charlotte di Vita Collections enrich the variety of
our range and complement our other products, such as our Artis
Orbis range."
In Autumn 2002 and Spring 2003 the 30 best-selling designs
from Goebel's Artis Orbis Famous Painters Collections have
been added to the Charlotte di Vita Collections, including
designs inspired by Renoir, Monet, Klimt, Degas and Van Gogh.
And in Spring 2003, a new Collection of Rosina Wachtmeister's
popular cat designs was also added to the Charlotte di Vita
Collections. This is the first time that Rosina's powerful
and vivid images have been interpreted in enamel.
There are now 156 designs in the Charlotte di Vita Collections.
