Traditional skills pay their way
for future generations
Charlotte di Vita continues to donate funds to the Trade
plus Aid® charitable trust from her current ethical trading
ventures: the Charlotte
di Vita Collections of miniature enamel collectibles
and the Trade
plus Aid® Design Studio in South Africa, which designs
and produces glass windchimes and traditional musical instruments.
The Charlotte di Vita Collections has assisted the
revival of traditional 17th-century enamelling skills in China
to provide some 400 workers with employment.
And by reviving these traditional skills, creating secure
employment and ensuring decent working conditions, Charlotte
and her trading partners have not only assisted these individuals
to generate income and support their families but have also
raised funds to donate to the Trade plus Aid® charitable trust
to provide longterm funding for new development projects.
